Every moto is a "who beat who" contest, the same maths used to rate chess players and online games (TrueSkill). Beating a rider ranked above you moves you up; losing to one below you moves you down. A win over a weak field is worth little, a 4th in a strong one can be worth a lot. Combined motos count as head to head across classes, and same day lap times pin the junior classes to the seniors, so it is one ladder for everyone from 50cc to MX1.
To be on the ladder you need 10 or more motos on 4 or more race days in the last two years. A rider who stops racing slides down slowly, and riders who only fly in for the supercross series are not ranked. State is where a rider has raced most, and class is what they have raced most in the last two years. Updated every Monday morning from results published by clubs through MYLAPS Speedhive.
